The reservation settings and parameters modules are closely related:

  • the settings will allow you to create notions
  • the parameters will allow you to specify these notions to apply your own rules

Purpose

The resource type is used for statistics. It allows you to get statistics of reservation according to the various types of resources you have entered.

What is the "resource type" made for?

This notion is used to assign a shared characteristic to various resources (fields, courts, courses…) in order to analyze the statistics of a group of resources having this characteristic and/or to compare it to another group.

Where can I manage the "resource types"?

Adding, editing or deleting

You can add, edit or delete a resource type in the “Reservation” section, then in the “Settings” module and in the “Types of resources” menu.

Assigning a type of resources

You can assign a resource type to a resource in the “Reservation” section, then in the “Settings” module, and in the “Resources” menu.

Use in statistics

You can only analyze the resource type in the “Reservation” section, then in the “data” module, and in the “Statistics” menu.

Characteristics of the resource type

The resource type only has a name and a display order that you can edit.

Examples of use

Golf

Golf clubs usually create the following resource types:

Clubs may also point the distinction between 9-hole and 18-hole courses, and create a specific type for each course.

In tennis clubs, we usually find types of resources that correspond to the surfaces, if they are indoor or outdoor or both:

If you consider that your resource is the trainer, you can refer to the previous example to group trainers according to the type of sport they teach. If you consider that your resource is the room where the trainer teaches, you will not need this notion.
