The resource type is used for statistics. It allows you to get statistics of reservation according to the various types of resources you have entered.

This notion is used to assign a shared characteristic to various resources (fields, courts, courses…) in order to analyze the statistics of a group of resources having this characteristic and/or to compare it to another group.

If you consider that your resource is the trainer, you can refer to the previous example to group trainers according to the type of sport they teach. If you consider that your resource is the room where the trainer teaches, you will not need this notion.
