As long as a ticket has not been paid, you can still find it and add other products, remove products, grant discounts or cash a payment. You can interrupt the selling process at any time, you can switch to another client or even make a reservation and go back to this ticket later.
On the left part of the screen, you can navigate in the tree structure of the categories and sub-categories in order to find products to add to the ticket.
The categories and subcategories appear in orange. The products that are available appear in green. You can go back to the previous category by clicking on the “Back” button. It is possible for you to know exactly where you are in the structure of the categories: the path is specified next to the “Back” button. In the example shown above, we are in the “Bar” category, and in the “Hot drinks” sub-category. You only need to click on a product (in green) to select it. Products are added to the ticket one after the other.
Red product: If a product appears in red, it means that the inventory is empty. If all the products appear in red, this is because the client is not authorized to buy products or his or her negative balance has reached the limit. In both cases, you need to have administrator authorizations to sell products to that person.
If a category contains a single sub-category, when clicking on a category, ExtraClub opens the subcategory right away and displays its contents. This useful function can nevertheless have a side effect. If a category contains both (1) a single subcategory and (2) products, ExtraClub will open the subcategory and the products contained in the category will not be displayed. That's why we recommend you use a single type of item inside a category or subcategory. Create only folders or products but don't mix them.
In the full version of ExtraClub, you can customize the display and create tabs containing the categories and subcategories you use the most.
The “Product code” tab allows you to add a product on the ticket by typing its code as you have entered it in the management of products.
Usually, only 20 products are very popular and they are the ones you sell in 80% of cases. Give a code comprised between 101 and 120 to the more often sold products and use the “By product code” tab to go faster. Example: on the product's details for the coke, enter “101” in the code field so when you're at the cash register, you only need to type “101” under the “By product code” tab.
If you have hand-held scanners reading bar codes (provided you have also entered your products' bar codes on your products' details), you can use the scanner to scan a product to add it to the ticket.
To remove a product from the ticket or to edit the quantity, you only need to click on the line where the product appears. As the mouse hovers the line, it changes color and you can click on it. Click here for more information.
To grant a discount, you need to have the required authorizations. If you can't see the Discount button, ask your manager. If you can see it, click on “Discount” and read the "Discount" page for more information.
