Thanks to discount prices, you can assign a price to a specific member type. This allows you to adapt your selling price to your clients and to give specific discounts to your most faithful clients for instance. The default price will, of course, always apply to people for whom there is no specific rule.
You can set up discount prices during the step 2 of the creation of a product.
You can also set up discount prices in the management of products (Shop Section then in the “Products” module) by clicking on the name of the product you want to edit or by using the “bulk operation on prices” function.
It is important to bear in mind that all products have a default price that can be edited at any time. This price applies to all the people for whom there is no specific rule. It also applies if no specific rule has been set up at all.
This price was defined during the first step of the creation of a product. It can be edited on the product's details if you click on the “Edit” button you can find in the “General Information” or “Applicable prices” box. You only need to change the price appearing in the “Default price” or “Amount” and to confirm.
This method allows you to assign a specific discount (in euros) to a product according to the member type. You can assign several discounts to a product using the same method. It is possible to assign as many prices as there are member types.
To do so, the method is the same as the one used on the second step of the creation of a product.
Thanks to this function, you can assign a discount percentage on the default selling price of one or several products for a single member type at once. If you wish to assign discounts to several member types, you will need to do this procedure as many times as there are member types concerned by the discount. Similarly, you can decide to apply a price increase to people who are not members of the club for instance. For more information on how to perform this operation, please read the page dedicated to the bulk operations on prices.
